I feel so
LOVED <33
I can't believe my birthday - which coincides with the HS Acquaintance party for GH, is on FRIDAY. I'm getting shivers up and down my spine (:
This friday, 2 student bands (who I happen to be close friends with :D) are gonna perform and dedicate a song to yours truly <3 that's sweet. WEE, Plus, I have tons of gifts! I can't believe people really gave me gifts :D From people I'm close with, to people I met only once, they remembered my birthday and are gonna give me gifts! That's sweet of them (; I love you guys.
Oh and before I forget, I'm going to perform in the Acquaintance Party, can you say EUGH? haha. And Mr. D is going to perform as well. Practice os in Monday and Wednesday and he's gonna be there to watch the routine and vice versa. Now this should be interesting (;
By the way, Carizza if you're reading this, I was really hurt by what you did. All of this because you were jealous of my friendship with Richard? GOD, that's so low. I'm not mad at you, I'm just hurt. I wish that I could just laugh it off, but I can't. Think about that.

James M. Barrie of Finding Neverland once said...
You find a glimmer of happiness in this world, there's always someone who wants to destroy it.
Today, as I watched this weeks' episode of One Tree Hill, I was inspired by the things that they said on the Time Capsule. Highschool
IS hard. You know, when you're dealing with all of the pressure and stuff.
So ta-duhh!! My batch is planning to make a time capsule (: We plan to record it and transfer it on CD'S. One person per CD So we can record a lot of our thoughts and just go all out; Say whatever we want; Get out of the closet.
The project will start after the Aquaintance Party... which is on my birthday! JULY 1! Ha, ha. Parang invited buong highschool includung faculty members sa party ko. feeler. HAHA.
The theme for our class will be Hawaii, For Section D - Australia.

I needed Saturday. I needed the reassurance of my best friend. I love you even more, bes (;
10 more days until my BIRTTHHHHDAAAY. I'm excited. Wee, loads of gifts for me! But, ironically, I don't want to turn a year older. EUGH. It reminds me of the fact that in 2 years, I will be in College - then off to work. Can you say HELL NO? Boohoo, baby.
Okay, Now for my blog about Saturday. Let me see, what did we do last Saturday? Oh yes, I, being the complete loser-ific loser that I am, attended CAT training once more (Yes, I finally gave in… I am now on Probation and the
ASSISTANT Logistics Officer. Yes, not Asst. to the Logistics Officer, but ASST. LOGISTIC OFFICER. Meaning, in days that our Logistics Officer is unavailable, I will replace her. Argh, Stupid V. Navarro. I wanted to STAY part of the Administrative Group. Yes, I
WAS the Bravo Administrative Officer. Blimp. )
After our 7-11a training, the officers had a meeting until 12 and then the NCO’S had to clean up the CAT Office. (Now that, I can handle… But Sophomore Year? No way! I’ve been hit by the Sophomore Curse; The Sophomore Slump is an uphill battle.) When I got home from OB, I slept for awhile and then went to FET (Is that how you spell it? Yung concert? I heard about it from (Is that how you spell it? I’m not sure... I got it from my sister lang eh… and that’s how I went there) Mom dropped me and brother dearest off at Maria’s and Richard’s and low and behold, Erickson was there. The 3 party poopers didn’t want to go to fet anymore so Maria and I decided to go to Metro walk and talk and have coffee at Starbucks. We were there from 10p-2a. Can you say High on Caffeine? Ha, ha. Anyhow, we arrived at Maria’s place at 2:30a and ate pizza! PIZZA, PIZZA, PIZZA! We also had Coke and Chips. Lazy bones, we are. We watched Child’s Play and we just realized how stupid Chuckie is. HA, HA.
All of us slept at 5a and woke up at 9a. I asked Dad to pick us up (since it was Father’s day!) so that we can accompany them out. But unfortunately, our bodies couldn’t handle it and we spend the day sleeping in bed. Isn’t that terrible? That’s terrible.
We woke up at around 7p when everybody finished eating out (Yes, they left us – or me, rather) and woke to find pizza. PIZZA, PIZZA, PIZZA! Yellow cab! YYAAMMEEHH.
Today, at school, was probably one of the worst days ever.
ROAR.
NEEWWW LAYOUT! I made one of
Emily Browninglayout and
blendI like this one. I might put it up soon (;

Define
EXHAUSTION. OK, exhausation is an understatement. The second day of CLASS is
NOTHING compared to the second day of class. Eugh. And to think, WE'RE THE ONLY SOPHOMORES WHOSE QUIZZES ARE ALREADY SCHEDULED, WHOSE HOMEWORK IS A CRAPLOAD, AND WHOSE NOTES ARE ALREADY DONE WITH 2 TOPICS! Is that fair? I don't think so. I thought that even the the teachers are different, we have the same workload? WELL, freak you OB. I hate you like I hate Plagiarists - and we all know that's a lot.
Oh, and no news from the requesition letter Kit's parents gave to the academic office regarding her transferring of sections.
Oh and
YOU! How dare you? Just tell me already. Do you like her, you piece of junk?

I'm going on a book and movie craze. And it's not just any book & movie craze... I'm not craving to watch those new movies that are out in theatres today... I'm craving to watch those old "early 90's" and "late 80's" movies. Blah.
I've been wanting to watch
The Virgin Suicides for the longest time! It stars
Kirsten Dunst as the most rebellious Lisbon sister, Lux, and
Josh Hartnett as one of the many neighborhood men inlove with the mysterious lisbon sisters.
The Lisbon sisters seemed to have it all until one of their sisters commits suicide leaving their very much religious parents devastated therefore becoming tollerably strict until Lux (Kirsten Dunst) ruins that for her and her sisters. Soon, they are taken out of school and isolated from the real world. This is a story about the beautiful Lisbon sisters, and their mysterious existence, narrated by the "neighborhood boys" who has developed a obsession with the sisters and reunites 20 years later to try and solve the mystery of the Lisbon sisters. It is a story of the girls lives as they watch powerless as their youth and fragile lives are sucked into nothingness.
I've also been wanting to watch
Heathers, a fil in the late 80's about a Girl and her struggle to become one of the popular girls. (Consider it the
Mean Girls of the 80's - except it is more deep and brutal). It stars
Winona Ryder,
Christian Slater, and
Shannon Doherty.
This story is about Veronica Sawyer (Ryder) and her path to becoming one of the "Heathers", the most powerful clique in school. She reluctantly mingles with the Heathers to be part of their posse despite the fact that she despises them. Soon, she meets
James "JD" Dean (Christian Slater), the rebel who wouldn't mind shooting everybody at school just to make his point. However, when she starts to date JD, she finds herself involved with the murders of the most popular people in Westerberg High.
And last, but definitely not the least....
The Breakfast Club!
This is about 5 students attending Saturday detention who have absolutely nothing in common. In fact, they never noticed each other - sure, they see each other at corridoors and stuff... but no acknowledgements whatsoever. When they are made to attend 8 hours of Saturday detention, they find out more about each other and with their differences, you can count on feuds and heated arguements. But after awhile, they realize that they had much more in common than they thought. And on the particular day,
The Brain, The Jock, The Basketcase, The Princess, and The Criminal see past all of their differences and find ways to make each other stronger. And the result of that
special saturday detention will change their lives forever.
Yes, those are the movies that I am
DYING to see. And for those books that I've been wanting to read...
Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
Girl, Interrupted by Susanna Kaysen*
You don't know me by David Klass
A Perfect Day for Bananafish by J.D. Salinger (short story... not a book ;p)
Be more Chill by Ned Vizzini
The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
Prozac Nation by Elizabeth Wurtzel*
Go Ask Alice
The Basketball Diaries by Jim Carroll*
The Dangerous Live of Altar Boys by Chris Fuhrman*
The Violent bear it away by Flannery O'Connor
Other books that I've read that are somewhat in that genre are... The Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger, The Curious Incident of the dog in the night-time by Mark Haddon, and Teen Angst? Naaah... by Ned Vizzini.
And those with asterisks are the books that also have a fil adaption. Ah, I'm currently obsessed with those books and movies that sort of have a "eerie" feeling to them (;

To change for someone is to lie to yourself...Julia Roberts, as Katherine Watson, included that in her letter to Kirsten Dunst, as Betty Warren, in their movie,
Mona Lisa Smile.
Last Night, I had a heated conversation with my older sister. At first, the conversation was pretty light - considering she was her and I was me. But as our conversation progressed, things got pretty deep - and hurtful. Ate Blu gave me a talk that would forever be tattooed on my mind, and my heart.
Why couldn't she have this conversation with any of our 5
OTHER sibs? Why the hell did she have it with me? Well apparently, no one would listen. And from where I'm standing, I can see why.
The talk my sister gave me had gave me a realization.
As an aspiring writer (and investigative journalist), I know that you can never be bias to any sides. In this profession, you can not only see the black and white, you have to consider the grays as well. You not only have to hear the sides of those involved, you have to hear it from the by-standers/witnesses point of view, too. You see, the eyes sees what it wants to see and the ear hears what it wants to hear.
Let's put it in a situation: There are 3 people in a room, 2 of them know each other, and the other one is a random person. Let's call the 2 people who know each other Mar and Jhay, and let's call the random person Liz. Just a little background check: Jhay is a highschool drop-out, Mar is a college graduate, and Liz is a College freshman. And now back to our scene, Jhay, being the extrovert that she is, started talking to Liz. It turns out, Liz is currently taking Journalism at the "
The Ateneo" and Jhay is very passionate about writing. So Jhay tells Liz about a time she
went to College and SAT IN on a journalism class. Apparently, Mar has a hidden grudge on Jhay and heard Jhay tell Liz that she
ACTUALLY went to College. Being the gossip monger that she is, Mar, on Jhay's back, started to tell their other common friends that Jhay was a liar and is actually claiming to have attended college.
You see, Mar only wanted to hear bad things about Jhay, and she did. But no one ever considered asking Liz what Jhay actually said. Now in this picture, Jhay is the white, Mar is the black, and Liz is the gray or the neutral. Now, Jhay has no friends and nobody ever trusts her. All because Mar misunderstood what Jhay has told Liz. One good person failed and broken.
Now, do you see?
After that, I realize now that in my brother's mind (during our arguements), I am the one who's being disrespectful, I am the one he keeps on forgiving (even if I'm not the one to blame.. or I'm being respectful.. and I'm the one who keeps on forgiving him). He sees this because he doesn't want to accept the fact that he is actually wrong.
I will admit, I
CAN'T always be the bigger person... but atleast now, I can look at it through my brother's eyes.

School starts soon. UGH. This summer, I was definitely bitten by the "
Bum Bug". Yes, the bum bug. Blah. Summer has made me such a lazy ass - not that I wasn't one already (and that's not something to be proud of), It just made it worse. Ick. I'm feeling inarticulate right now; I'm at a loss for words. Maybe it's because I want to say a lot of things... I just don't know where to start and in what order.
I know my posts this summer have been very unlike myself. It's mostly because I want to stop blogging. Yes, I think I've lost my mojo for blogging. When I started blogging, I knew that it wouldn't last longer than 2 years. I've been using my blogger account for a
year and 3 months now and I used my blurty (yes, I used to have a blurty account) a year before that. Well, we'll see how long I'll try to keep this blog going. I guess I've lost my mojo for blogging due to the fact that it's more like a journal to me (and I hate journals!) than a sanctuary; a small and safe place in a troublesome world. At first, this WAS my sanctuary, my abode, my habitat. But after awhile, I started to write about my days more than my thoughts. Seldom do I write about my thoughts (such as this!) these days.
Forget that, School starts soon - meaning I'm going to be able to blog about my thoughts again; What I think about the teachers, my classmates, the new students, the lower batches, the new offices, and the list goes on and on...
HOPEFULLY, this mourning period (Yes, mourning period. Mourning over the fact that school starts in 5 days) will give me back my mojo for blogging - and give me back my freedom to write about my thoughts.
WHOOP, I can hear the beach calling! 9 more months until Summer! (;
Btw, new blends and layout (: I'll post it up soon.

Ashton Kutcher in that movie.
"Honestly, if you're not willing to sound stupid you don't deserve to be in love." - Emily Friehl
I'm going to watch Mr. & Mrs. Smith later. WHOOPI!
On the somber side, School starts next week. Ick. 9 more months before summer. Hm, I can already hear the beach calling (again!). Get yourself together, Essa! You have to do better this school year.
The 6th Potter book is out on the 16th of the seventh month which means there's A month and 7 more days to go.
Oh and yes, my birthday is on the first day of the seventh month making it 21 more days! (:

I'm loving my bestfriend and her family <3I just got back (12:30a) from my Bestfriend's pad in ortigas. We had dinner there and Jap, Richard, and Erickson went swimming whilst my bestfriend and I watched and enjoyed the beautiful view of the lights from the top of the building (:
After about 2 hours of talking and kidding around in the pool, we decided to head inside and watch tv.
There's nothing better than a bestfriend's remedy for your most troublesome day (:
