from my Ate Jae's friend, April.

THE ONE FLAW IN WOMEN

By the time the Lord made woman, he was into his sixth day of working overtime. An angel appeared and said, "Why are you spending so much time on this one?"

And the Lord answered, "Have you seen my spec sheet on her? She has to be completely washable, but not plastic, have over 200 movable parts, all replaceable and able to run on diet coke and leftovers, have a lap that can hold four children at one time, have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart-and she will do everything with only two hands."

The angel was astounded at the requirements. "Only two hands!? No way! And that's just on the standard model? That's too much work for one day. Wait until tomorrow to finish."

"But I won't," the Lord protested. "I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart. She already heals herself when she is sick AND can work 18 hour days."

The angel moved closer and touched the woman. "But you have made her so soft, Lord."

"She is soft," the Lord agreed, "but I have also made her tough. You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish."

The angel asked: "Will she be able to think?"

The Lord replied, "Not only will she be able to think, she will be able to reason and negotiate."

The angel then noticed something, and reaching out, touched the woman's cheek. "Oops, it looks like you have a leak in this model. I told you that you were trying to put too much into this one."

"That's not a leak," the Lord corrected, "that's a tear!"

"What's the tear for?" the angel asked.

They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry. They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in. They stand up to injustice. They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have. They go to the doctor with a frightened friend. They love unconditionally. They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards. They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies. They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left. They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors. They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning. They bring joy, hope and love. They have compassion and ideals. They give moral support to their family and friends. Women have vital things to say and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,

IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

I promised myself yesterday that I would blog today. So here I am sitting infront of my pc staring blankly into space as i recall the incidents that happen in the last couple of days.

INCIDENTS:

I got sick. Dead sick, infact :/ I was absent the last week of school. Yup, 7 days to be exact. A whole school week and 2 weekdays. Ah, the prize of getting Pneumonia. ;p But I blogged about this so moving on...

I went to Pampanga togther with Pops & Ate Jae for dad's Christmas Party/Reunion with Don Bosco class of `73. Yes, my airpatts (if you spell it that way), the atenista, also a bosconian.

CRITICISM:
The place was ok; A big Compound with a beautiful pier. The food; It was ok... not impressed but not disappointed as well. The people; FILTHY rich, but not friendly. Everyone there was looking at me & ate jae since we were the only ones from Manila, literally. But those were the Nouveau Riche kids. The Old Riche kids were friendly... mainly cause they were 3 year olds. Yup, those teens in our (ate jill & mines) age group were... picky. They were giving us the eye. HAH, atleast we dress better than you! Ohwell, some people are really just snobs. Yeah, we even gave all of those weirdos nicknames..

this dude who kept on looking at me and was dressed like a hiphopper = hifhaf.
This girl who looked like she just gave birth (haha! as if naman payat ako!) = vhuntees.
This guy who looked liked rain's, ate jae's friend, boyfriend, Jave = Jheev

But there was this little boy who kept on telling us he was Spider-Man. He was cute at first... then he just got annoying. So Ate Jae and I were on the dumps last Saturday. It was pure torture. She owes me BIG time. I wasn't actually supposed to go... But my sister begged. And when the hell am I ever gonna see my sister grovel infront of me again? So I gave in.

So that was my saturday. No memories on all the other dates so there you go. The only thing I can remember (:

Adios Amigos!

Hello Amusement Park, Goodbye Pneumonia!

happy day today, isn't it just? Today, the whole school celebrated their Christmas Party whilst I lay in my bed with Piknik Ketchup Fries & Coke with me (:

Yes, I do think that getting a week early vacation compensates for getting Pneumonia, having killer head aches, a dead body, a 40 degree fever, heavy eye lids, and useless gibberish come out of my mouth. 7 days ahead of the other students feels GOOD. Elaborate on the good part. I was in bed, clean as fuck, getting to boss people around, and being given all that I wanted while my classmates slaved away in the Food Expo and studied their puny brains out during the Longtests.

God is good all the time (:

RIGHT NOW:
Sitting infront of the pc+ blasting my speakers+ watching a good dvd+ eating lays salt & vinegar+ drinking coke+ having my favorite cd's scattered on the bed+ my cellphone sounding nonstop from all the messages from my buds+ recieving a hell load of gifts from my friends = THE GOOD LIFE (:

Which brings me to my next topic, Little Things

Yup, literally "little things". It is not a song, a play, or a book.

Isn't it ironic on how we prefer the little things in life rather than the bigger things? I mean when asked what we want we instantly say I want a book, or a cd, or a shirt, or something like that. When asked what are the important things to us we instantly reply my cds, my collection or something. We never get to reply things like It doesn't matter. Being with my family and friends are the most important things to me. What ever happened to goals? To dreams? to ambition? Whatever happened to the dedication we USED to insert in these things? Very seldom do we insert any effort anymore.

Little things like Social Status or Body Figures or Appearance are what appeals to us these days. Whatever happened to looking out for someone because they did something nice or great? Whatever happened to being Attracted to someone because they're smart?

Isn't it ironic how little things are what keeps us going? Isn't it funny on how we choose to prefer the little things. Isn't it funny on how we would pick a cd rather than have a good conversation with an old friend? Isn't it funny on how we would much rather go to an Incubus concert rather than have a sleepover?

Life is mostly at it's lowest point. Ironic how little things keep us going...so when these little things leave our side, we are left with noting but a sigh... It's unfair how this world works; unpredictable...totally unpredictable.

It just makes you think, doesn't it? Next time, if I were you, Id take the time to appreciate the finer things in life... Like having a good laugh with your bestfriend.

For all those good souls:

Please pray for all the people and families that have lost their home and/or their family members due to the bad weather. They need and deserve the prayers. I, myself, am guilty of wishing that school be cancelled due to heavy rain and bad weathers without even taking into consideration that other people are losing their homes, family members, and lives.

Who are we to wish for that? To wish for the homeless people get sick due to Pneumonia? We are as good as everyone here in this world. Those people who have lost their lives are as good as we are. No one in this world is superior. We are all trapped by a singular fate.

We can not do anything to stop this calamity. But we can make a difference by praying for others. Remember, Prayers are Powerful. Kindly share that power in you.

If you've read this, thank you. Thank you for taking the time to listen. And if you do pray for others, God will truly return the favor.

I know there's a good soul out there. One will truly make a difference...how about 5? or 6? or 10? or 20? how about 400+ ? I hope that all my readers out there have been touched and will do the same thing. Please, pray for them.

I know I will.

We, the filipinos, should stick together...NO MATTER WHAT

No classes today. haha. booyuhh!

hm, beautiful weather, ain't it? I love the rainy season :D

so what has happened the past few days...? nothing really. Just normal, lousy, school days followed by practice. Oh, disregard the fact that we had no teachers this week. They were all too busy doing some things. Lovely week, I must say.

On other news:

My adviser just got back from her one month leave. [I wouldn't call it a sabbatical leave because she wasn't gone that long. Oh and she went to an educational trip to Europe. I am so JEALOUS]. When she arrived at the classroom all she did was talk about how lovely her trip was. Rub it in, did she? They visited 8 different countries. Whoa, and went sightseeing. They were at the fucking eifel tower from 5:30a to 10a. Anyways, the part that got to me more was that she actually got to visit The Louvre. She said that their visit was the highlight of their trip.

Oh and did I mention that they met the Pope? Hm, lucky ass.

I have to leave now. I'll maybe update a little later when my brother isn't that hooked on what he's doing.
