New "I want books."

A Certain Chemistry by Mimi Millington
The Coma by Alex Garland
Lullaby by Chuck Palahniuk

How disappointing and low.

A few weeks ago, one of my favorite journalists (Patricia Evangelista; one of Philippine Star's "Young Star" journalists) wrote about a young girl named Faye Nicole B. San Juan and told her story.

As written on Tricia Evangelista's article, Faye Nicole B. San Juan or simply Faye has represented the Philippines in International Academics Competition. It has repeatedly been reported that Faye has won more or less 5 awards internationally representing the Philippines. The media ofcourse, had a field day and tried to get an interview with Faye and her mother. Fortunately, Faye and her Mother were ovewhelmed with the sudden fame that had hit them. They accepted thousands of interviews, and soon, faye was a filipina hero. Faye's story was on every newspaper, every news channel, and every filipino channel.

I, myself, suddenly fell inlove with this smart 11 year old who has the courage to stand before thousands of people all over the world and hold her head high and give a humble smile. So imagine my surprise when I found out that her story was a scam. Her mother created a story for her to tell to the world. There was no International Academic Competition recently, and if there was, There was no flight schedule for Faye and her mother. All of it was a lie, not more than a dream. Now I ask myself, HOW CAN OUR COUNTRY RISE WHEN THE MASSES ARE CREATING FICTIONAL STORIES? How would it look to other countries? That the Philippine Islands mass AND government lie to get respect and recognition?

I think this was one of the most desperate attempts to gain respect and recognition. I cannot blame Faye for she only listened to her mother. It is with her mother I am disappointed with. I know I have no right to be disappointed with you or whatever, but not only am I disappointed with you... Teens who have read Tricia Evangelista's column and adults who have heard the news are disappointed with you. You absolutely DO NOT deserve to be a filipino. This country would do a lot better without people like you.

Friday:
ate jae, miggy, ate blu, kuya jc, and I watched The Incredibles at Eastwood. Our movie was gonna start at 9 so we had plenty of time to kill (we arrived 745?). So before we headed to the movie theatre, we ate at Fazoolis.

Saturday:
Went to training... Did 5 minutes of running up and down from the maria montessori hall to the 1st floor lobby (I think we had 3 laps?), 500 squat thrusts (a lot on the hall and damn more at the quadrangle. While it was raining. On the mud. We were hella dirty.)

After which, Niko, John, Bien, and Myself headed to Theatre Mall and watched National Treasure. Yes, It was a beautiful movie! (; fabulous is all I can say. Hands down to the writers and ofcourse, The actors and actresses; Nicholas Cage was very good, but the real award goes to Justin Bartha. Diane Kreuger did better than she did in troy which is good cause she pretty much had NO lines in troy.

Sunday:
Our first family outing since I was 10 years of age! That was fun (;

Mudra, Padre, and ate jae watched After the Sunset. While Ate Mya, Tuts, and Baby Ally (who is 2 years of age today; November 25th) watched The Incredibles for the first time.

Meanwhile, Drei and Kuya Jap had a food trip and I shopped. I bought shirts from human and havoc and 3 cd's form Oddysey and a book at National bookstore. (;

Monday:
I cut class and started AND finished reading The Catcher in the Rye. Beautiful book, I must say. Hnads down to J.D. Salinger.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday:
regulas classes. /;

NO SHIT.

They are going to make a movie of Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code set to be released on 2005. click http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0382625/

and wtf?! People on the boards are already making a list of actors and actresses for the perfect cast for Angels and demons.

Though I do agree with someone. Monica Belluci would be a great Vittoria. But I think it suits Selma Blair more.

Expect more ranting soon.

happy times, happy times.

I am truly proud of myself (:

Earlier today, I went to GH a girl who is truly bitchy and most definitely picky with people I hang out with. Now, I come home free of grudge with a certain brittney herrel. Yes, I have made my peace with her. And come to think of it, she wasn't as bad as I expected.

Brittney, Irvine, Niko, John, and myself watched Wicker Park earlier today. I found it a good movie with a very interesting and intriguing plot. Hands down to the writters. In my opinion, Josh Hartnett did a very good job with his character. He portrayed his part extremely well.

Guess who we saw after our movie?

Dio and Ritchie Paul.

Ok, that's it (; message essa for more details <3

BTW, happy 13th birthday to britt.

My blogs have been boring. I am a completely boring person. It's sad, I have no more time to elaborate on the things I love most.

This is sad.

ANYWAYS,

Movie Reviews:

I forgot to blog about seing Before Sunset. It was completely disappointing, I expected a whole lot more from the movie since Ethan Hawke has fabulous movies [i.e. Reality Bites, Dead Poets Society, Great Expectations] . I guess he has his fair share of wrong choices for movies he's going to commit to.

Another movie I've recently seen was First Daughter whose plot was identical to that of Chasing Liberty (First daughter who gets a chance to be separated from her father, mother, and the White House only to fall inlove with a Secret Service Agent.) I can't say that the movie was fabulous, since it was not. But I can say that it was as good as Chasing Liberty.

I also watched White Chicks which wasn't a good movie. It was an OK movie but it wasn't as funny as the trailer suggested. All the really funny scenes were placed on the movie's teaser trailer which ruins the whole point. How can you call it a teaser when you already know what's going to happen? Point proven.

Ok, so those were the movies I've watched and didn't find it worth the time I have given it.

Now, for the movies I am dying to see. :D

May is a movie I am dying to see :D It has a really good story and I can't wait to see it. I don't know why, but the plot of the movie has intrigued me and I am going to have to buy a dvd (since it's r18. phuckers talaga oh!)

Ok, that's it for the movies I want to see. I've seen practically all of the movies in the movie theatres these days. Except for those chinese movies ofcourse, I don't find them scary, or least the bit nice.

And for my Christmas Wishlist....

belated happy birthday to my muther.

Hm, I seriously lack time to blog :/

yesterday, I accompanied Sir Batulan and Kuya Big out of OB and had some review sheets photocopied. THAT WAS THE MOST TIRING DAY OF MY ENTIRE LIFE. I had to run errands for all the officers. Yes, including Sir Dellosa [who everyone happens to ask if he's nice...ughm, ok naman si sir dellosa eh! mabait naman sha...strict lang. so just look out for that.]

anyways, the ipc was fun! kahit hirap na hirap na kami at parang gusto na kami i-haze ng mga officers...ok parin :D

Sir Go and Mara are so cute (: they suit each other. they're a really sweet couple <3

Anyways, Si Garcia, Robin borrowed my gloves [die with envy nina and nadz!] haha. It was funny...Nads wanted to borrow my gloves.

Ma'am Gallardo won best platoon leader [go mam! galing nyo tlga (; ] and maureen was the smartest cadet in the whole brigade (: yeah..but unfortunately, we weren't the champions. Bravo 2 was! Yeah ok bravo 2! love namin lahat si sir Borneo. I thought Alpha Company was gonna get some serious hazing...di pa naman (: Good for them.

We all had no hope of winning pero may individual awards kami ;p

so yun...anyways, ewan ko na what to blog about so...imma go now.

I needed friday and I needed saturday like hell :D

friday:
I went out with atch ce and we had dinner at dencios.

saturday:
HAPPY 24TH BIRTHDAY TO DREI!
I woke up to see drei asleep beside me *miss you, tol!* we went to a net cafe kasi nahiya na kami kela tita rara. Ate blu got to lola's house at 12 and we still weren't back :p they waited an hour before we finally decided to go back to lola's place.

We had lunch there and then we went to mega to buy cd's [yeah! I got a lot of cd's ;p *note: drei stills owes me a book &/or a cd]. Since ate blu couldn't take the crowd we went to galle to eat at Mongkok [ tama ba? ] and I ate at Starbucks (: Ate joycie called after we ate and told us to have dinner with her at dencios, powerplant :D [whaha, taba] We ended up staying at dencio's for at least 3 hours. After which, ate joyce had to go to a "black-out" party so we decided to head to greenbelt 3. We had no idea there was a costume party. Guess who we saw...HEART EVANGELISTA! haha, she looked so funny in her weird fairy-slash-butterfly (or something like that) costume. She was sporting this bitch look in her face which I guess she had to sport to be able to pull her attire off.

Sunday:
In the words of Mr. Jason Mraz, Sleep all, sleep all day (:

Monday:
We went to pampanga at 10 and we arrived there at 11. We arrived at the cemetary at 11:30 and we ordered mikki d's (: hehe. Ate Blu, Kuya Jc, Kuya Jap, and I went to meet up with Edser, Ate Blu's ex boyfriend. I couldn't remember him much because I was really young when they got together but he seemed pretty nice. We went home at 3:30 and we had a snack at Starbucks.

So yun...tiring weekend (:

Pictures to be uploaded LATER on...

Arrivederci.
